# Creating Pools

## How it works

Project owners can establish custom staking pools on BaseHaven for their own tokens, setting specific staking conditions and reward rules to suit their project's needs.

### **Type of Staking Assets**

Project teams can select either a specific token that users are allowed to stake. This flexibility allows for tailored strategies to encourage user participation and investment.

### **Staking Duration**

 Define the minimum duration for which users must lock their funds. This duration can vary between different pools, allowing project owners to manage liquidity according to their operational needs.

### **Reward Distribution**

Project owners can choose the payout for rewards, opting for their native tokens or a liquid asset like ETH. The frequency and amount of rewards are determined based on the duration and the total amount staked, ensuring a fair and motivating return to the stakeholders.
